PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-type mower which is favorable in the arrangement balance of an apparatus, and can make lower the center of gravity of a machine body.SOLUTION: A walking-type mower comprises: an electric motor 8 which includes a traveling machine body 4 in which fore-and-aft wheels 2 and 3 are bridged in a right-and-left pair, is located substantially in the center of the fore-and-aft and right-and-left of the traveling machine body 4 within right and left wheel distances of the wheels 2 and 3 of the traveling machine body 4, and drives a cutting blade 6 and the wheels 2 and 3 a power battery 11 located at a fore-and-aft one-side of the traveling machine body 4 and a motor controller 12 which is located at the other side in the fore-and-aft direction of the traveling machine body 4 and controls the electric motor 8.
