PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the energy distribution of X-ray transmitting through an object being examined.SOLUTION: The detector for X-ray CT has a scintillator 23 that absorbs X rays to emit light and photodiodes 24 that receive the light emitted by the scintillator 23 to convert the received light into electrical signals. On the scintillator 23, an inclined plane 26 is formed that is located on the opposite side of an incident plane 25 into which X rays are incoming and is inclined in the direction in which the dimension from the incident plane 25 varies progressively.
