PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optotype presenting device capable of performing a highly accurate subjective examination of the visual function of an eye to be inspected regardless of the size of an optotype, and a target display control method thereof. SOLUTION: In an optotype presenting device for presenting an optotype to an eye to be inspected, an optotype having the same size as a display having a display surface for displaying the optotype is placed in a display plane predetermined for each size of the optotype. The display control unit is provided with a display control unit for displaying on the display surface within the range of the maximum display number in the above, and the display control unit increases the predetermined number of presentations of optotypes of the same size to the eye to be inspected.
