PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a technical problem of developing a new method and apparatus for controlling a moisture-phobic pest in which a sufficient controlling effect can be achieved while reducing a water sprinkling amount.SOLUTION: A method for controlling a moisture-phobic pest is characterized in that a wet degree sensor 5 is provided in a position close to a parasitic environment of the moisture-phobic pest in a field F, and water is sprinkled on the field F according to a detection value of the wet degree sensor 5, and thereby a repellent situation and/or a situation hard to live of the moisture-phobic pest are made to appear. Accordingly, the water can be sprinkled in just proportion to avoid a tea plant failure due to excessive humidity, and the water required for the control is not wasted and the cost can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】散水量を低減しながらも、十分な防除効果を奏することのできる、新規な嫌湿性病害虫の防除方法並びに嫌湿性病害虫の防除装置の開発を技術課題とした。【解決手段】 圃場Fにおける嫌湿性病害虫の寄生環境の至近位置に、濡れ程度センサ5を設け、この濡れ程度センサ5の検出値に応じ、圃場Fに散水を行い、嫌湿性病害虫の忌避状況および/または生存しにくい状況を現出させるようにしたことを特徴として成り、散水を過不足なく行うことが可能となり、過湿による茶樹の障害を回避するとともに、防除に要する水を無駄にすることなく、またそのコストを低減することができる。【選択図】図1
