PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically search and display a three-dimensional image datum including a comparison object part from three-dimensional image data containing a plurality of tomographic images.
SOLUTION: A part recognizing means 32 recognizes which part a tomographic image images for each tomographic image composing three-dimensional image data. The recognition result of parts imaged in respective tomographic images of the reference three-dimensional image data selected by a selecting means 31 recognized by the part recognizing means 32 is compared with the recognition result of parts imaged in respective tomographic images of the other three-dimensional image data stored in a three-dimensional image storing means 30 recognized by the part recognizing means 32. The searching means 33 is used to compare the first and second recognition results and searches the other three-dimensional image data for a three-dimensional image datum that contains a tomographic image of at least one part among the parts imaged in the tomographic images of the reference three-dimensional image data. A display means 34 then displays the searched three-dimensional image datum.
