PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion cosmetic that is stable with time in spite of mixing a large amount of ceramide.SOLUTION: The oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic comprises (a) 0.7-1.5 wt.% of ceramide, (b) 0.5-2.0 wt.% of a polyoxyethylene hydrogenated sterol, (c) 0.5-2.0 wt.% of hydrogenated rapeseed oil alcohol, (d) an oil, (e) 2.5-3.5 wt.% butylene glycol and (f) water, and has flowability at 20°C. Preferably butylene glycol of the component (e) is previously mixed with water. In addition, the weight ratio of water/(butylene glycol and water) is 0.3-0.4 and when the total of butylene glycol of the component (e) and water that are previously mixed is 4.6-5.3 wt.%, an oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic having further excellent stability with time is obtained.
