The invention relates to a fountain intended to supply the cat with fresh and clean water directly from the sanitary water network. The fountain works with an electronic control unit which is used to trigger the water supply via a sensitive mat placed under the fountain, to manage its operating time, to control the water level of the fountain and to adjust the water flow as well as the sensitivity of the sensitive carpet. It is directly controlled by the cat itself as soon as it approaches and works without a filter and without special maintenance. It is particularly recommended for cats who only drink running water from the tap, and it thus avoids all cat diseases related to poor hydration.
