PURPOSE: A method of cultivating Cordyceps militaris is provided to reduce a cultivation period, and to use Ulvaceae green algae and a rapeseed cake mixture for improving the rooting ability of a strain. CONSTITUTION: A culture medium containing a rapeseed cake mixture and Ulvaceae green algae is formed. A culture medium is inoculated with a spawn of Cordyceps militaris. The inoculated culture medium is cultivated in the dark at 8-22 deg. C and air humidity of 70-90% for 4-7 days. The inoculated culture medium is photo-cultivated at 8-22 deg. C and air humidity of 70-90% for 35-45 days. The rapeseed cake mixture is prepared as follows. Rapeseed cake is obtained after juice-squeezing of rapeseeds. Soup which is generated at the top during the storage of the rapeseed cake is stored. A rapeseed cake extract is obtained by compressing the rapeseed cake. 5-50 parts by weight of soup are mixed with 100 parts by weight of rapeseed cake extract.
