An object of the present invention is to provide a deodorant that is safe and has a high deodorizing effect for deodorizing an odor, particularly an aging odor which is a body odor peculiar to middle-aged and elderly people. By using a polyhydric alcohol, particularly 1,3-butylene glycol as an active ingredient, a deodorant having an excellent effect is provided.
