PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alga-preventing and oxygen-generating composition which maintains a stable water quality environment, and can disperse both of an oxygen component and an alga-preventing component in water in a balanced manner, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The alga-preventing and oxygen-generating composition is made of a compact which contains: 2-20 wt.% of calcium peroxide 2-30 wt.% of calcium carbonate 2-30 wt.% of calcium hydroxide 10-50 wt.% of calcium dihydrogenphosphate 5-65 wt.% of a zinc compound and 1-15 wt.% of an organic acid and/or monosaccharide.
