PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfected and deodorized air generating apparatus and a method therefor, capable of discharging air which is disinfected and deodorized in the apparatus using aqueous hypochlorous acid to the outside of the apparatus.SOLUTION: The disinfected and deodorized air generating apparatus includes a casing 1 equipped with: a reservoir tank 3 for reserving the aqueous hypochlorous acid and a treatment chamber 2 in which the aqueous hypochlorous acid supplied from the reservoir tank 3 is atomized by an atomizing means 10 and brought into contact with the blown air to disinfect and deodorize the air.
