PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive puncture needle capable of efficiently preventing coring.SOLUTION: A puncture needle 1 comprises, at a tip of a cylindrical needle tube 1a: a first inclined plane 2 which obliquely intersects an axial center of the needle tube; a pair of second inclined planes 3 which is formed by cutting the first inclined plane and is formed while sandwiching the axial center and a center plane C passing through the center of the first inclined plane between the second inclined planes; and an opening 4 formed on the first and second inclined planes 2, 3. The pair of second inclined planes 3 are formed to a rear side of the opening 4 so that edge lines (second edge lines R2) formed by the first inclined plane and the second inclined planes intersect the opening at rear portions of the opening and tips of the second edge lines R2 protrude more onto a tip side from the rearmost end position of an edge of the second inclined plane constituting the opening.
