PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation for the external use of a head which can be applied to thinner hair and acomia resulting from a variety of causes, can synergistically improve an acomia prevention effect and a hair generation/growth effect, and is high in reliability to a head skin.SOLUTION: The preparation for hair has a naturally-derived water phase fraction of an extract of ground ivy, is high in safety, low in cost, and useful as a hair growth preparation having the hair generation/growth effect. The preparation for hair is useful for hair generation/growth in a middle-aged people acomia symptom and the prevention of the progress of acomia (combing). The preparation for hair can be used as a hair/skin caring commodity.
