The invention relates to a process for cosmetic treatment of keratin fibres, comprising: - the application: (a)of one or more alkoxysilanes comprising solubilizing function(s) of formula R1Si(OR2)z(R3)x(OH)y, and/or hydrolysis products thereof and/or oligomers thereof, (b) of one or more alkylalkoxysilanes of formula (R4)mSi(OR5)n and/or hydrolysis products thereof and/or oligomers thereof, the alkoxysilane(s) comprising solubilizing function(s) (a) and the alkylalkoxysilane(s) (b) being respectively contained in at least two different compositions, or in one and the same composition, - optionally one or more rinsing steps, and - a heating step.
