摘要:
System for the rehabilitation of neuropathic pain that includes: a transcranial direct current stimulation apparatus (tDCS) comprising: - a cap (11) sized to fit over a portion of a patient's head; - two or more connection points for electrodes operatively associated with an inner surface of the cap (11); and - a power supply in electrical communication with the electrodes and with a control interface (15), said power supply and said control interface (15) being sized to be carried and transported, in use, by a patient ( 10); characterized in that it also comprises: a computing device (12) with dedicated software and an associated control unit to provide the operation of said tDCS apparatus by the patient himself acting through said control interface (15) during a neuropathic pain rehabilitation session initiated by said patient; at least one camera (13) to capture at least a partial image of said patient (10); a screen (14) to present to said patient (10) a combination of said partial image of the patient himself and a complementary image provided by an animated digital image representative of a movement of an injured part of the patient's body (10) capable of generating an adequate visual illusion to correct a mismatch between the motor orders and the sensory response, said combination of images being prepared or generated under the control of said computing device (12) and said dedicated software; and means for checking: - the impedance of each of the connection sections of each of the electrodes to the power supply; and - the polarity of each of the electrodes; said means acting as a safety measure to confirm the proper placement of the electrodes and the supply current.
