PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush for effectively obtaining the feeling of fittedness to rows of teeth and between the teeth, feeling of complete brushing, and soft touching to the gums.SOLUTION: The toothbrush 10 is formed by bundling bristles 14 for forming tufts 15 so as to plant them in planting holes 13 of a planting base 11 of a toothbrush body 17. A brush face 21 is formed by the tips of the bristles 14 forming the tufts 15. The brush face 21 has a letter &mu shape curved and projected downward when it is seen from a side facing a short direction Y of the planting base 11, and has a chevron shape having a peak in the center when it is seen from an end facing a longitudinal direction X of the planting base 11. The tips of the bristles 14 are tapered. A planting region 19 of the planting base 11 is surrounded by an annular line 18 connecting outer edges of planting holes 13 arranged in an outermost periphery.
