The present invention relates to a liquid formulationfor human and animal nutrition, consisting of anaqueous solution, a guanidinoacetic acid component andat least one methyl group donor from the group ofcholine, methionine and betaine. In addition to thefree guanidinoacetic acid, it is also possible to usesalts, adducts and/or complexes as the guanidinoaceticacid component, which can additionally be combined withfurther physiologically active compounds. Since theguanidinoacetic acid component is present in dissolvedform, formulations including those in the form ofmineral water, lemonade, alcoholic drinks and drinkingwater formulations are envisaged. It has been foundthat, surprisingly, the guanidinoacetic acid componentpresent in this liquid formulation has very goodstability and is converted very rapidly to creatine inthe body.
