PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemostatic device for promoting blood coagulation.SOLUTION: A hemostatic device for promoting blood coagulation comprises: a foundation material (for example, gauze, fabric, sponge, sponge base material, and one or more fibers)； a hemostatic material such as a kaolin clay disposed on the foundation material； and a coupling agent material such as a crosslink calcium alginate comprising high guluronic acid monomer molar percentage disposed on the foundation material for substantially holding the hemostatic material. When the device is used for treating a wound having bleeding, at least a part of the clay material contacts blood for accelerating coagulation. In addition, when it is exposed to the blood, the coupling agent has low solubility, and holds most of the clay material on the gauze.
