PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bird damage prevention tool which can be easily attached to and detached from a cable that is tensed in the air.SOLUTION: A plurality of bird damage prevention tools to be mounted on the overhead conductor are connectable to each other. A substantially cylindrical unit prevention tool body (1) including a plurality of needle-like projections (2) that protrude radially outwards at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction and an axial direction, a plurality of holes (3) that are formed between the needle-like projections (2) and a notch in parallel with the axial direction is formed from a synthetic resin having electric insulation and flexibility. In both ends of the unit prevention tool body (1) in the axial direction, a first coupling part (5) and a second coupling part (6) each of which is formed from an arcuate band plate are formed integrally. Notches (4) to be generated in the first and second coupling parts (5) and (6) can be closed by elastically opening/closing seal pieces (7) and (8).
