ABSTRACT - 592651 Disclosed herein is a method for the treatment of a skin condition or for skin rejuvenation which comprises the steps of: (a) topically applying on a non-human animal's skin a composition comprising at least one oxidant, wherein the at least one oxidant is chosen from hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide and benzoyl peroxide, at least one photoactivator capable of activating the oxidant, wherein the at least one photoactivator is eosin, and at least one healing factor chosen from hyaluronic acid, glucosamine and allantoin； and (b) exposing said skin of step (a) to actinic light for a time sufficient for said photoactivator to cause activation of said oxidant.
