PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which is compact in the axial direction, and in which there is no gap between a grip and a main tube of the connector and a fixing valve can be compressed by rotating the grip at a prescribed position.SOLUTION: A connector has a main tube 2 serving as a tube body for the insertion of a tubular interventional instrument such as a catheter (catheter 4 comprising an elongated body) from the rear end side to the front end side. A fixing valve 30 capable of putting pressure on the periphery of the tubular interventional instrument and fixing the tubular interventional instrument to the main tube 2 is provided inside the main tube 2. A fixing valve operation ring 15 that is arranged so as to be rotatable at a prescribed position in the axial direction and compresses the fixing valve 30 is provided to the outer periphery of the main tube 2.
