PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure measurement device which facilitates a correction in measuring a blood pressure based on a pulse wave transit time, and a blood pressure measurement method.SOLUTION: A blood pressure measurement device includes: a belt attached to wind around a region to be measured； first and second pulse wave sensors which are mounted on the belt in a state to be separated from each other for detecting a pulse wave in an artery passing in the region to be measured； and a pressing member which is mounted on the belt and can press the first and second pulse wave sensors against the region to be measured by varying pressing force. A time difference between first and second pulse wave signals is obtained as a pulse wave transit time (S22). By using a predetermined corresponding formula between the pulse wave transit time and a blood pressure, the blood pressure is calculated based on the pulse wave transit time (S23) obtained by a measurement processing part. The pulse wave transit time is obtained (S13, S14) by the measurement processing part by changing the pressing force by the pressing member in a rest state, and the corresponding formula is corrected (S15, S16) based on a plurality of the pulse wave transit times respectively corresponding to plural kinds of the pressing force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8【課題】脈波伝播時間に基づき血圧を測定する際の校正を行い易くできる血圧測定装置および血圧測定方法を提供すること。【解決手段】被測定部位を取り巻いて装着されるべきベルトと、ベルトに互いに離間した状態で搭載され、被測定部位を通る動脈における脈波を検出する第１、第２の脈波センサと、ベルトに搭載され、被測定部位に対して第１、第２の脈波センサを、押圧力を可変して押圧し得る押圧部材とを備える。第１、第２の脈波信号の間の時間差を脈波伝播時間として取得する（Ｓ２２）。脈波伝播時間と血圧との間の予め定められた対応式を用いて、測定処理部によって取得された脈波伝播時間に基づいて血圧を算出する（Ｓ２３）。安静状態で押圧部材による押圧力を変化させながら測定処理部によって脈波伝播時間を取得し（Ｓ１３，Ｓ１４）、複数の押圧力にそれぞれ対応する複数の脈波伝播時間に基づき対応式を校正する（Ｓ１５，Ｓ１６）。【選択図】図８
