PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact detection instrument related to a contact detector 1 that is inserted into living bodies etc. and comes in contact with an in vivo organ, outputs a signal according to the condition of the organ being a contact object and uses a sound wave.SOLUTION: A contact detection instrument 1 is characterized in that: a sound passage pipe 11 is connected to a movable sound passage pipe 21, at each of one-side ends, through a sliding surface 31 a speaker 3 and a microphone 5 are comprised in the other side of the sound passage pipe 11 a sound passage side face 27 is included in the other end of the movable sound passage pipe 21 a sensor 51 having a cavity 53 and an elastic body 55 in the movable sound passage pipe 21 and a sliding surface sound passage 33 in the sliding surface 31 is rotationally symmetrical to an axis 37 passing an intersection point 35 between a central line 15 of the sound passage pipe 21 and the sliding surface 31 and being perpendicular to the sliding surface 31. Even if the movable sound passage pipe 21 is movable, the length of a full-length L of the sound passage is not changed.
