Inventive concepts relate generally to the fieldof implantable urological devices, and more particularly tocompositions that inhibit crystallization of urine components.Described are implantable urological devices including a surfaceand a crystallization inhibitor composition, the crystallizationinhibitor composition including: (a) an inhibitor ofurine component crystallization in combination with abiodegradable polymer, or a polyalkene homopolymer orcopolymer, or (b) a biodegradable polymer that includes an inhibitorof urine component crystallization, wherein the crystallizationinhibitor composition provides controlled release of theinhibitor of urine component crystallization from the surfaceof the device into a subject. Methods of making the implantableurological devices are also described.
