PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven optical bench, preferably achieving alignment even in a wheelchaired subject, and reducing burden in examination.SOLUTION: The motor-driven optical bench includes: a top plate on which an examination device for examining the subject is placed a strut supporting the top plate from below for moving up and down the top plate by the drive of a motor and a base part for supporting the strut on the floor wherein the back of the top plate which is on the opposite side to the subject is provided with a first detecting means for detecting contact or approach to stop the drive of the strut.
