Recognized as oneof the world’s leading events in the sector, FIRA brings together leaders,researchers and companies to explore the technologies that are transformingagriculture.“FIRA is a unique platform topresent innovations that can redefine global agriculture. At the event,solutions that ensure easy integration and safe operation for machines will beshowcased,” says Adriano Naspolini, Director of Engineering for Agriculture atHexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division.Event HighlightsHexagon will be presenting atFIRA 2025 with a booth dedicated to showcasing innovations aimed atagricultural robotics and autonomy companies. The technologies presentedinclude:l  SMART7 and SMART2: Multi-constellation andmulti-frequency GNSS antennas that provide high precision in differentoperating conditions, ensuring reliability and redundancy in positioningsignals.l  Receiver Boards: Designed for integration intoantennas, offering support for high-performance GNSS solutions and flexibilityto meet the needs of different manufacturers.l  Corrections: TerraStar offerscentimetre-level accuracy, even in adverse conditions or under interferencefrom natural phenomena, such as scintillation. It ensures reliable positioning,enabling continuous and efficient operations of agricultural machinery in anyenvironment.l  Perception: Advanced perceptiontechnologies that provide situational awareness, enabling autonomous machinesto navigate through fields safely and efficiently.l  Ti10, Core Box and ISOBUS: Tools that enable precisenavigation and control of machines, supporting various types of actuators andconnectivity. These products help tackle challenging scenarios, offeringmodularity and safety.“Precise and reliable controlis essential for autonomy. Our products not only meet current demands but alsoprovide updates and flexibility for the future,” reinforces Naspolini.On February 5, from 2:25 p.m.to 4:45 p.m., Christian Raboin, Agriculture Sales Manager at Hexagon’s Autonomy& Positioning division, will conduct a session on the company’s solutions,exploring essential technologies for autonomous agricultural robots. Thepresentation will cover how the use of GNSS with SPAN technology ensurescentimetre-level precision and reliability, even in challenging environments.And how artificial intelligence solutions and image databases enhance visualperception for free space and object recognition, optimizing navigation.Additionally, the integrationof GNSS maps and RTK modems creates optimized trajectories and real-timeguidance, reducing costs and increasing productivity. Finally, the presentationwill provide an overview of the democratization of robotic autonomy in agricultureand open space for discussions on practical applications and collaborations.With over 3,000 participantsand 100 exhibitors expected, FIRA 2025 will be a meeting point for discussionsand demonstrations of technologies aimed at increasing productivity andsustainability in global agriculture.
