A natural composition based on Chilean monofloral honey extract from native vegetable species for bacterial infection control in vegetables in general. By way of illustration, the composition of the present invention showed to be especially useful for the control of soft rot (Erwinia spp) in potatoes, vegetables and flowers in general. It is elaborated from extracts of monofloral honey flavonoids and/or phenols that act independently as controller of various bacterial infections.
