PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency treatment instrument for endoscopes, where the electrode can widely expand into a T-form on the tip of a flexible sheath and does not deform even when the electrode is strongly pressed against an object to be cut, so the instrument can smoothly press and cut even the object of a large size.SOLUTION: A pair of cuts 2 or slices 2 are almost laterally symmetrically formed in parallel with the axial line on the side of an area near the end of a flexible tube 1, and as a result, are formed a pair of split pieces 3 in an area between the pair of the cuts 2 or slices 2. Easily concaved parts 4, 5 are formed near the front and rear ends of each split piece 3, while an easily convexed part 7 is formed in the middle of each split piece 3. A pair of electrode wires 9 are connected with the leading end of a conductive electric wire 8 inserted through the flexible tube 1 so that the wire 8 can move in the axial line direction.
