PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puncture body for preventing puncture accidents, which is the biodegradable puncture body to be indwelled in a human body after puncturing.SOLUTION: The puncture body includes: a body part 3 where one end (a distal end 1) is sharply pointed and the other end (a proximal end 2) has a flat surface 7 and a connection part 10 having a flat abutment surface 9 on which the end of a tubular hollow body 6 is abutted. In the connection part 10, an elliptical columnar projection 4 is projected in the flat surface 7 on the proximal end side of the body part 3.
