There is provided a surgical saw blade for use in orthopaedic surgery. The saw blade comprising: a mounting portion with a mounting cavity a first planar portion extending longitudinally from the mounting portion and a second shelf portion offset from the first portion. In one embodiment, the saw blade further comprises a transition portion between the first portion and the second portion. The second offset shelf portion may be oriented along the length of the first planar portion to allow for longitudinal reciprocation or may be oriented across the width of the planar portion to allow for lateral reciprocation. In some embodiments, the second offset shelf portion is offset from the first planar portion by a discrete amount.Cette invention concerne une lame de scie chirurgicale utilisée en chirurgie orthopédique.
