A variety of adhesive compositions, optionally containing one or more activators such as pharmaceutical agents, are described. By mixing one or more absorbents in combination with one or more crystallization inhibitors, the adhesive property of the composition is improved. An associated method for improving the adhesive property of the adhesive composition by combining the absorbent with the inhibitor is also described.
