Provided are a stent and a method for manufacturing the same. The stent is used for medical purposes, and comprises: first wires each having semi-hexagonal mountains and valleys repeatedly formed along a length direction of the stent; and second wires provided to have the same shape as the first wires, wherein the second wires are provided to be symmetrical to the first wires and thus have hexagonal unit cells of which mountains or valleys are respectively contacted with each other. Here, the stent is characterized in that the first wires and the second wires are sequentially repeated in a circumferential direction of the stent. Accordingly, first, the stent of the present invention can endure even a stronger external pressure as compared with the conventional stent. Second, various diameters, materials, repetition periods of mountains and valleys, heights of mountain and valley, and cross-sectional shapes of wires can be selectively used depending on the conditions of patients using the stent, such as inner walls of the blood vessels. Third, various tensile strengths, shrinkage rates, restoring rates, holding strengths, and the like can be obtained through even stents having the same diameter by differently determining at least one of diameters, materials, repetition periods of mountains and valleys, heights of mountain and valley, and cross-sectional shapes of wires of the first and second wires. Fourth, an optimum stent can be manufactured and used depending on the conditions of patients using the stent, such as inner walls of the blood vessels, through the above-described effects.본 발명은 의료용으로 사용되는 스텐트에 있어서, 스텐트의 길이 방향을 따라 반 육각형상의 산과 골이 반복 형성되는 제 1 와이어; 및 제 1 와이어와 동일한 형상으로 이루어지되, 제 1 와이어와 대칭되도록 구비되어 각각의 산 또는 골이 서로 접하도록 하여 육각형상의 단위 셀을 갖도록 구비되는 제 2 와이어;를 포함하고, 제 1 와이어 및 제 2 와이어가 스텐트의 원주 방향으로 순차적으로 반복되도록 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 스텐트 및 이의 제조방법을 구현한바, 첫째, 기존의 스텐트와 비교하여 보다 강한 외압에도 견딜 수 있는 효과가 있다. 둘째, 스텐트를 사용하는 환자의 혈관 내벽 등과 같은 환자의 상태에 따라 다양한 직경, 재질, 산과 골의 반복 주기, 산과 골의 높이 및 와이어의 단
