An underpants-type absorbent article (1) comprising: a belt portion (32) having an up-down direction, a left-right direction, and a front-rear direction, said belt portion (32) constituting at least part of a waist opening along the left-right direction; and an absorbent body (10), both end portions of which being connected to the belt portion (32) along the up-down direction, the underpants-type absorbent article (1) being folded at a predetermined folding position F2 in the up-down direction when packaged in a packaging material, and the absorbent body (10) being folded back from the lower side to the upper side of the up-down direction. One side portion (10f) positioned on one side of the front-rear direction of the absorbent body (10) and the other side portion (10b) positioned on the other side of the front-rear direction of the absorbent main body at the folding position F2 have portions of mutually different stiffness.
