PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition for keratin fibers, the composition having less bad smell and also having strong decoloring power.SOLUTION: A cosmetic composition for keratin fibers can be obtained from a mixture of an alkali-containing composition containing at least one kind of alkali agent and at least one kind of surfactant, and an oxidation composition containing at least one kind of oxidant and at least one kind of fat substance. The amount of the fat substance in the alkali-containing composition is 10-50 mass%, preferably 20-40 mass% to the total mass of the oxidation composition. In the cosmetic composition for keratin fibers, at least one kind of polyol is contained at 0.1-40 mass%, preferably 0.5-30 mass% to the total mass of the cosmetic composition for keratin fibers. In the cosmetic composition for keratin fibers, at least one kind of surfactant is contained at 15-30 mass% to the total mass of the cosmetic composition for keratin fibers. In the cosmetic composition for keratin fibers, at least one kind of fat substance is contained at 5-30 mass% to the total mass of the cosmetic composition for keratin fibers.
