A method of delivering a substance includes providing a substance at a location in a gastrointestinal (GI) tract, excluding a buccal membrane, of a biological body and applying ultrasonic waves, having a frequency between about 20 kHz and about 10 MHz, at the location. The method can include storing the substance in at least one reservoir and exposing a medium within or of the GI tract to the substance. The method can further include delivering a device into the GI tract, the device including at least one ultrasound transducer and circuitry powering the at least one ultrasound transducer and circuitry from within the device and driving the at least one ultrasound transducer, using the circuitry, in a manner causing the at least one ultrasound transducer to emit ultrasonic waves to a medium within or of the GI tract.La présente invention concerne un procédé dadministration dune substance, comprenant ladministration dune substance à un emplacement dans un tube digestif dun corps biologique, à lexclusion de la membrane buccale, et lapplication ‑ audit emplacement ‑ dondes ultrasoniques ayant une fréquence comprise entre environ 20 kHz et environ 10 MHz. Ledit procédé peut comprendre le stockage de la substance dans au moins un réservoir, et lexposition dun milieu du tube digestif, ou dun milieu à lintérieur dudit tube, à ladite substance. Ce procédé peut en outre comprendre les étapes suivantes : pose dun dispositif dans le tube digestif, ledit dispositif comprenant au moins un capteur ultrasonore et un circuit mise sous tension du ou des capteurs ultrasonores et du circuit depuis lintérieur du dispositif et entraînement du ou des capteurs ultrasonores, de manière à ce que, à laide du circuit, le ou les capteurs ultrasonores émettent des ondes ultrasoniques dans un milieu du tube digestif ou à lintérieur dudit tube digestif.
