PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental handpiece in which a jacket inserted into a casing (front portion) is fixed by a reliable means instead of screwing to improve durability and appearance of the dental handpiece.SOLUTION: An engagement groove 12 is set on the circumferential surface of a jacket 8 and a detachable engagement means 16 engageable with the engagement groove 12 of the jacket 8 in a casing rear portion 2R.
