PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfection method in which a high treatment effect can be maintained, and a deodorization method.SOLUTION: In the disinfection method, a sodium hypochlorite aqueous solution housed in a first space, and an acidic agent aqueous solution that is at least one of a glycolic acid aqueous solution and a glycolide aqueous solution housed in a second space different from the first space, are sprayed on the object to be treated simultaneously.
