PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve optimum soft switching control without being affected by variations in hardware characteristics of a circuit element.SOLUTION: The bidirectional resonance type power conversion device includes a switch control section that turns on a main switch when a voltage of an auxiliary capacitor is minimum with an auxiliary switch on. The switch control section detects the time when the voltage of the auxiliary capacitor is not more than a threshold value with the auxiliary switch on, as the time when the voltage of the auxiliary capacitor is minimum.
