PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root crop harvester having a cleaning mechanism for its hairy root cutter effectively cutting off hairy root even if the machine body is inclined right and left, with the cleaning mechanism automatically removing cutoff hairy root and mud deposited onto the cutter.SOLUTION: A root crop harvester is such that: a hairy root cutter 57 removing the hairy root of root crops under conveyance by a pull conveyor 24 pulling root crops off a farm and conveying them is laid beneath the conveyance path of the pull conveyor 24.
