The present invention provides iRNA compositions which effect the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC)-mediated cleavage of RNA transcripts of an ANGPL3 gene. The ANGPL3 gene may be within a cell, e.g., a cell within a subject, such as a human. The present invention also provides methods of using the iRNA compositions of the invention for inhibiting the expression of an ANGPL3 gene and/or for treating a subject who would benefit from inhibiting or reducing the expression of an ANGPL3 gene, e.g., a subject suffering or prone to suffering from a disorder of lipid metabolism, such as a subject suffering or prone to suffering from hyperiipidemia or hypertriglyceridemia.La invención se relaciona con composiciones de ácido ribonucleico de doble hebra (ARNds) que tiene como objetivo el gen para ANGPTL3 así como métodos para inhibir la expresión de ANGPTL3 y métodos para tratar a sujetos que presentar un trastorno de metabolismo de lípidos tal como hiperlipidemia o hipertrigliceridemia, utilizando las composiciones de ARNds.
