The present invention relates to an elongate robotic arm (2) comprising articulated segments (4). A channel (10) extends along the longitudinal axis of the arm and contains a stiffening member (12) which includes a sensor for measuring the shape of the arm. Using the central channel for this purpose improves the ease and accuracy of shape measurement.Linvention concerne un bras robotisé allongé qui comprend des segments articulés.
