A melt-processed antimicrobial composition is provided comprising: from about 0.1 wt.% to about 30 wt.% of at least one monoterpene phenol； from about 30 wt.% to about 95 wt.% of at least one melt-processable plant protein； and from about 1 wt.% to about 50 wt.% of at least one carrier fluid. Also provided is a wipe comprising the melt-processed antimicrobial composition, and a method for removing bacteria from a surface using said wipe.
