PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring grain yield and a method for method for monitoring grain yield are provided to enable a user to acquire information about grain yield specific to harvest positions, to do position-specific management and to effectively control fertilization by monitoring grain yield with a proximity sensor attached to the upper part of a rising screw. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for monitoring grain yield comprises a sensing part (100), control part (200), and a monitoring part (300). The sensing part transmits a signal by sensing the transfer of grain and measuring the amount of grain transferred. The control part calculates the amount of grain transferred by processing the signal. The monitoring part monitors grain yield by receiving the amount of grain transferred from the control part at preset intervals. The sensing part is installed outside a grain transfer pipe (10) enveloping a vertical screw (11) for vertically transferring grain produced by a combine hopper.본 발명은 곡물 수확량 검사 장치 및 방법을 개시한다. 본 발명에 따른 곡물 수확량 검사 장치는 곡물의 이송 여부 및 이송량을 감지하여 센싱 신호를 출력하는 센싱부, 센싱 신호를 신호처리하여 곡물의 이송량을 산출하는 제어부 및 제어부로부터 곡물의 이송량을 기 결정된 주기로 수신하여, 곡물의 수확량을 모니터링하는 모니터링부를 포함한다.
