To provide an intervertebral disk hardness measuring device capable of measuring properly hardness of an intervertebral disk which is a measuring object.
SOLUTION: This intervertebral disk hardness measuring device 1 is equipped with: an indentation depth detection means 20 for detecting an indentation depth of a plunger 11 to the intervertebral disk 15, the means 20 which has a plunger part 10 having the plunger 11 the end part 11of a which is brought into contact with the intervertebral disk 15, an indentation load detection means 13 for detecting an indentation load loaded ON the plunger 11, a reflecting plate 14 disposed ON the plunger part 11 and having a spherical reflection surface 14a, a light irradiation part 22 for irradiating the reflecting plate 14 with light and a light receiving part 23 for receiving reflected light from the reflection surface 14a and a hardness detection means 4 for detecting hardness of the intervertebral disk 15 based ON detection results by the indentation load detection means 13 and the indentation depth detection means 20.
