PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for microbial culture provided with a vibration plate, and to provide a method for microbial culture, a method of culturing microorganism in a dispersed state and a method of controlling extracellular polysaccharide using the apparatus.SOLUTION: The inventors have found that when a vibration plate, which has a projected portion on which through holes are provided, is vibrated, a gas passing through the holes is minutely broken and effectively micronized. Further they have found that when microbial cells are cultured in a culture vessel filled with the micro air bubbles, the cells grow maintaining a dispersed state, and excretion of microbial extracellular polysaccharide is suppressed.
