The use of multifunctional synthetic compounds to stabilize and preserve therapeutic emulsions has been described. The multifunctional synthetic compound has a unique molecular arrangement in which the phosphate group is bonded by a propenyl group substituted by one, two or three quaternary ammonium functional groups and each quaternary ammonium functional group is further bound to one or more long chain hydrocarbons . Pharmaceutical emulsions containing the above-described multifunctional compounds can be prepared without heating or homogenization and no additional stabilizers or preservatives are required.치료학적 에멀젼을 안정화하고 보존하는 다관능성 합성 화합물의 용도를 기술하였다. 다관능성 합성 화합물은 포스페이트 그룹이 1, 2 또는 3개의 4차 암모늄 관능기에 치환된 프로페닐 그룹에 의해 결합하고, 각각의 4차 암모늄 관능기는 추가로 하나 이상의 장쇄 탄화수소에 결합되는 독특한 분자 배열을 가진다. 상기한 다관능성 화합물을 포함하는 약학적 에멀젼은 가열 또는 균질화 없이도 제조할 수 있고 추가의 안정화제 또는 보존제가 필요하지 않다.
