PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage unit and a refrigerator that can sterilize floating fungi efficiently.SOLUTION: A cooled air in the chill room is brought into an ion generation chamber 45 positioned at the backward of the chill room from a cooled air return port 10. A voltage is applied to a needle-like electrode 11a disposed in an upper portion of an ion generation chamber 45 so that, by corona discharge, positive and negative ions are discharged substantially parallel to the circulating cooled air.
