PURPOSE: A foamed polypropylene buoy and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain anti-corrosion property and to allow recycling. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing of a foamed polypropylene buoy comprises a step of foaming polypropylene particles and melting and adhering the surface of particles by providing vapor pressure through vapor supply holes which are formed with an interval on the inner surface of the cavity(11) of a mold(10), and a step of drying a buoy in a drying room for 48 hours. The buoy comprises 20-30 wt% of foamed polypropylene.본 발명은 양식장 등에서 어망 등의 설치를 위해 사용되는 부자에 관한 것으로서, 해수에 장시간 노출시에도 가수분해가 되지 않는 내부식성이 제공되면서도 재활용이 가능한 친환경소재로서 화학적 발포제를 사용하지 않고 물리적으로 발포되는 발포폴리프로필렌(Expanded Polypropylene, EPP)으로 양식장용 부자를 제조할 수 있도록 한 것이다.즉, 본 발명은 양식장 등에서 사용하는 부자의 재질을 발포폴리프로필렌(Expanded Polypropylene, EPP)으로 선택하였으며, 원통형의 부자에 축직각방향으로 증기공급용 코어를 삽입하여 부자의 내부에 증기를 공급하는 방식으로 100mm 이상의 두꺼운 양식장용 부자의 성형이 완벽하게 이루어질 수 있도록 하며, 또한 본 발명에서는 사용 후 폐기되는 폐 발포폴리프로필렌을 적당한 크기로 절단하여 양식장용 부자를 성형할 때 20~30%투입하여 성형함으로 해서 재활용 효율성을 향상시킬 수 있도록 한 것이다.
