PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact trigger release needle guard with a suitable elastic spring.SOLUTION: A needle guard device is mountable to a pre-filled syringe 50. The device includes a device shield 20 interconnected with a lock collar 10 using a flexible member and biased to move relative to the lock collar 10. The lock collar 10 interfaces with a syringe neck to attach the device to the syringe.
