PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which sufficiently achieves absorption retention of liquid or the like, leakage prevention, and fitness which are required for a sanitary napkin or the like, stabilizes a folded shape when individually packaged, and suppresses or prevents floating of a surface material and wrinkles in individual package folded line or nearby.
SOLUTION: In an individual package (100), the absorbent article (10) having a surface material (2), a reverse material (3), and an absorber (1) laid between the materials is folded along an individual package folding line. On the surface material (2) side of the absorbent article (10), a circular leakage prevention groove (5) is formed. The circular leakage prevention groove (5) has a constricted part which goes inward a circumference in a planar view in a position of the individual package folding line, has an arch-shaped central groove (4) extending in a width direction almost in parallel to the individual package folding line inside the circular leakage prevention groove. In a region where the central groove exists, the constricted part and the individual package folding line exist.
